Job Description for Leahy Consulting Software Consultant  

 

    Leahy Consulting is a 30 year-old business consulting and software development company located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Our mission is to significantly improve the information systems and workflow of our small and mid-sized manufacturing and distribution customers.  We have a staff of eleven full and part-time employees and our business consists of:

 

  • Exact Macola ERP software – We provide sales, training, implementation, support services and custom development for the Macola manufacturing, distribution, and accounting software (click on Exact) and have customers across the US.  We are part of the ESTA Group (click on Esta Group), a consortium of several Macola dealers in the US and Australia.  The Esta Group is the largest Macola dealer.  

 

  • Custom programming – We have developed a suite of custom utilities to help Macola customers improve their productivity.  These are sold all over the world.  Click on Utilities.

 

  • PULSE Dashboard & Reporting software – We developed this custom application and it is sold to Macola customers across the US.  It extracts real-time metrics such as sales & bookings, customer service, inventory, purchasing and production data from the Macola database to help customers better manage their business.  Click on Pulse.

 

Our Need  

 

Our increased number of projects and new customer activity requires another business consultant/project manager.  Ideally, this person will have strong customer service skills; strong project management skills; be an experienced business consultant; have experience with the Macola ERP software or competitor software; and have expertise in shipping, inventory or production control systems.  

 

Qualifications and areas of responsibility:

 

  • College degree in business or accounting.
  • Previous hands-on experience with the Macola software or similar ERP software.
  • Previous business consulting experience.
  • Inventory control, production control and/or shipping systems expertise.
  • Job responsibilities are varied.  

 

Required personal skills :

 

  • Self-motivated.  Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A sincere desire to help people.
  • Project management.
  • Minimum of ten years of working experience with customer orders and billing, inventory control, purchasing, manufacturing and/or production control systems.
